We had so much fun celebrating Michael Rosen Day! We joined an online event where we watched him perform 'Chocolate Cake' which was really funny! We then made upde up our own silly poems. Everyone laughed, joined in, and used their imaginations. It was a wonderful morning full of reading, rhyming, and lots of smiles!
COLOURFUL SEMANTICS
Some children have been working with Mrs Alcon to improve their writing. They are using Colourful Semantics which is a fun and visual way to help children understand and build sentences. It uses colours to represent different parts of a sentence, helping children understand how words fit together to make meaning.
DRUMMING IN CLASS 2
The children really enjoyed the recent drumming workshop. They learned how to follow and play a beat and had the opportunity to freestyle too! What a great time they had!

CLASS 2 TRIP TO ABBERTON
Classes 1 and 2 spent the day at Abberton Reservoir Nature Reserve. What a fantastic day they had, hunting for minibeasts, pond dipping and having great fun in nature. Huge thanks to all the staff for planning and organising such a fun day out!
YEAR 1 ROLLERSKATING CLUB
It is the turn for year 1's to take part in rollerskating club this half term. They had a brilliant first week and enjoyed staying upright, playing corners and doing the limbo (which they took VERY seriously!). Remember, if your Year 1 child wants to take part, we have plenty of skates! Sessions run from 3.15-4.00 on Fridays!
CLASS 2 ANIMAL VISIT
CLASS 2 ART - CREATING SCULPTURE
Class 2 started learning about sculpture by exploring ways to fold, twist and stick paper to create 3D artwork. I think you will agree they did a great job!
This half term it is the turn of Year 2's to take part in rollerskating club. The school has more than enough rollerskates for everyone! The children really enjoyed skating, playing games and trying to complete the limbo! By the end of the first week, everyone was able to skate round the hall - yippee! We have plenty of pairs of skates in school - anyone in Year 2 can take part this half term!
YEAR 2 ROLLERSKATING CLUB
Today was the first Forest School session for class 2. Although the weather was not fantastic, the children had a great time and can't wait to do it all again next week!
